The resignation of Dr. John Oblak as president of Notre Dame de Namur University was accepted by the Board of Trustees at their meeting Dec. 12. It will be effective Dec. 31.
Oblak's announcement, which came shortly after the Trustees' Special Committee concluded its investigative meetings with NDNU constituencies and reported their findings to the Trustees, will allow him and his wife to return to the East Coast to be with family.

Cressey Nakagawa has resigned from the Notre Dame de Namur Board of Trustees, NDNU Provost and Executive Vice President Dr. Judith Grieg announced Jan. 10.
Nakagawa had served as chair of the board. His resignation follows Dr. Jack Oblak's Dec. 12 decision to leave his post as university president.

The mission of the Dorothy Stang Center was carried out by five members of the NDNU community Nov. 16-18. The installation of new automatically locking, card-entry doors have begun the new NDNU residence hall security plans.
The doors have been installed on the lobby doors for St. Joe's and Julie Billiart residence halls, with more doors for the actual dorm rooms being planned for the future.

Grad Audits:Those students anticipating completing ALL (not most but all) requirements for a May or Summer 2008 graduation should have their graduation audit submitted to the Registrar's Office by Dec. 15. The fee is $80.
Beginning Dec. 16, the audit fee will be $160.
