Junior Minh Vu was elected president of the Associated Students of NDNU in voting conducted by email last week.
Rich Watters announced the new ASNDNU officers on April 4 by sending the news to the student emails. Polling only took place online. Over 325 students voted.

Belmont Police announced Tuesday that they will send the recent NDNU sexual assault case to the San Mateo County District Attorney's office as soon as their investigation is complete. According to Lt. Pat Halleran, the District Attorney's office will decide on what charges, if any, will be applied.

Budget and enrollment continue to be prime items on NDNU's agenda. At the Community Forum March 25, the senior staff presented an update on next year's enrollment and its effect on NDNU's budget.
Vice President of Enrollment Hernan Bucheli made it clear that the budget directly relates to enrollment.

Amnesty International is the Nobel Peace prize-winning social justice organization, formed in 1961 in London with a chapter at NDNU.

Amnesty International members have been thinking of new and creative ways to fundraise.
Over the past few home games of the NDNU lacrosse team, Amnesty has been hosting a tailgating fundraiser for their chapter. They have been selling hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and soda to the hungry supporters of the NDNU lacrosse team.

False fire alarms at NDNU have become part of campus life.
Four years ago the San Carlos/Belmont Fire Department responded to a false fire alarm at NDNU. Minutes later there was a 911 call regarding a man in San Carlos who had just experienced a heart attack.

The second Creative Writers Series event on March 20, featured two prominent Bay Area authors: Lindsey Crittenden and Rachel Howard.
Crittenden, who was the first to read, chose to read her short story "The Art of Fiction," a story that she prefaced by saying she wrote it to break a period of writer's block while at a conference.

Dorothy Stang stood for social justice and committed her life to protecting the Amazon Rainforest before she was brutally murdered.

Wednesday, March 19 - A reported assault was called into public safety by a girl who said she was assaulted by four other girls. She said that she was pushed, hit, and punched. Investigation is ongoing.
Friday, March 21 - An informational sign outside of Taube Center was reportedly backed into by a large truck with a trailer, resulting in what is being considered as accidental property damage.
