Money is hard to come by for school Gym

The gym lacks in both money and equipment
The hardest part about working out is committing yourself to the idea of getting off your bum and making your way to the gym. The gym should be a safe haven, away from stress and drama, and a place to release your aggression by way of grunts, panting, and sweat.

No one expected the storms of January 2010 to be so terrible as to leave NDNU with casualties. True, so far, no people have been hurt, but the trees did suffer. Because of these arboreal accidents, however, 43 trees are now scheduled to be taken down, before they come down of their own accord.

Challenging words in a changing world

As our world evolves, language does as well. But does that make certain words acceptable to say?
Lets take a step back 50 years. Where were we as a country? What kind of lan- guage did we find offensive? What wasn't? These questions come to mind when thinking about the impact of words used today. The word, which I cannot write in this publication, is the "N-word.

Language of hate is a language of pain

"What do you call a 'N- word' with no arms?" Answer: trustworthy. I found myself laughing to this joke as this was told by one of my friends who was African American. I thought about it for a moment and felt guilty because I felt like I was pointing and laughing at the people of the past, mainly those who have suffered from slavery.
