How old is too old to be living in campus housing?

The reactions are mixed and there is no real age limit to live on campus.
However, when older students make younger students uncomfortable, how old is too old for a college campus?
Many students enter college barely 18 years old. Others take time off after high school and enter college post teen years.
It's awkward to imagine a 30-plus-year-old signing up for the chaos that follows traditional college life. The number of immature and adventurous younglings, aka freshman, gets old for some.
After numerous noise complaints and RA calls, the older residents separate themselves to focus on school and avoid the party scene.
Senior resident Lindsey Hawley agrees that 30-plus is a little too old.
"Why would you want to live here if you're over 30? It's loud and people often complain about the noise," said Hawley.
So take your pick. How old do you think is too old to be a resident on a college campus? There is no set age limit, but the question remains, should there be?

Totally surprised by this article. Instead of freaking out about having older students around on campus, consider them a great resource. Older students have been out in the world: had real jobs, paid their own bills, cooked their own meals, broken a few hearts, etc. (Continued…)

Get with it, NDNU. "Non-traditional" aged students are becoming increasingly common on college campuses across the country.
The NDNU student population, or at least sophomore Joanna Gresh, must be extremely sheltered from the real world. (Continued…)

Not to be overly-politically correct, but this editorial smacks of ageism. You know, the same thing as racism, but it's all about age. If this article were about race or religion or sexual orientation, people would probably be horrified!
Instead of focusing on the differences, we should be focusing on our commonalities, such as being a member of this small NDNU family. (Continued…)

I agree with the other comments - "I would say 25 is the max" is ridiculous. I went to uni at 18 and of the group of about 10 people i fell into one girl was 26, another guy 24 and the rest of us 18-21ish. (Continued…)
