One Long Day Conserving Energy is Boring.

I never realized how good I have it here at NDNU until I had to give up energy for one entire day. You're probably reading this and thinking, "I can do that!" Sure you can, if you're in your eighties and don't rely on a cell phone, computer, mp3 player, etc. If you're not old, and are around your twenties and thirties, then you're in the same boat as me; helpless. I had one simple task to give up anything that uses energy, and I couldn't even fulfill this task with all my hard work and preparation for it. Let's face it people, we're known as the techno-boom, and it's not that impressive.
7:35 a.m.: Woke up thanks to my boyfriend, who was my personal alarm clock for the morning. I rely on my cell phone as my alarm clock, and if I actually owned an alarm clock I wouldn't be able to use it either, unless it was a wind-up.
7:42 am.: Showering with no lights on. How lovely this is. I can barley see my body through the natural sunlight that is given with the cell sized window in these New Hall showers.
8:45 a.m.: In my first class, and I can't do anything since it's in a computer lab. I'm sitting here twittering my thumbs while everyone else works, and I just sit and observe.
9:00 a.m.: Really thought of something funny and realized I have no way of communicating it to the person I want to unless I find a delivery pigeon immediately!
9:02 a.m. Wow, I'm seriously a Blackberry junkie! I really want to check my facebook and look up a word on dictionary.com. I'm ashamed.
10:10 a.m.: Wish I could text my boyfriend, but oh, that's right; my life sucks today, so I can't. Lucky me!
10:25 a.m.: I JUST reached for my phone in my back pack, had a millisecond panic attack when I didn't feel it and then realized I don't have it today. I'm living in the nineteenth century today, oh boy!
10:48 a.m.: If I keep busy with classes then I won't get the urge to text….
11:01 a.m.: Wow…another computer class.
11:25 a.m.: Totally wish I could text a joke right now
