Richard Waters, Director of the student leadership center, explain that the Viva event has became a traditional event that students of NDNU always look forward in attending. Waters shares, "It takes months to create the event, and the programming board usually starts to work on it, in January."
Viva, is held in the month of April, and originally occurs in Ralston Hall. Until the number of students, attending the event had grown to about 300 each year. Then the event moved to the university's gym.
Kristen Orlando, Chief of the programming board, mentions that Viva is a huge event. It consists of a casino night, and music for people who just want to dance.
Orlando and Waters have put in a request to the Athletic Director Josh Doody, to reserve the gym for Viva. There was some miscommunication, regarding the confirmation, which caused some students, to believe the event will not happen.
But Orlando, Waters and Doody had communicated regarding some dates in April for the event. And it is confirmed, by the programming board, and athletic director that the famous Viva, will soon come again this year in April.
