Chicago is in town for everyone to watch at the NDNU Theatre.
The musical Chicago is a story based on celebrity murderesses who are locked up in jail, and who are trying to find their way out. The plot focuses on the famous Roxie Hart, who is accused of murdering her husband.
Roxie Hart is found guilty and put in jail with all the women who had similar stories. Hart discovers how traumatic each woman's story is, especially when she meets Velma Kelly.
Velma Kelly's role is very popular because of her significant murder story, in which she murdered two people. The two people were her husband and her own sister.
The musical continues, with Hart seeking her way out, and continuing her connection with Velma and the other females who are stuck in jail with her.
Notre Dame de Namur University's Music department has decided to do their own rendition of the play. It started showcasing Feb. 26.
The show is still showing on March 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Many talented students are involved, as well as Greg Fritsch who is the director of the play. Also on board are William Liberatore for the musical direction and Dottie Lesterwhite, who choreographed the many numbers in the show.
Tickets for the musical Chicago are now on sale, and can be purchased at the NDNU Theatre. Admissions to the public will be $20 and for students/seniors $10.
