"It was donated to us and was hanging in Ralston Hall. The previous director of Weigand, Charles Strong knows he hung the painting in Ralston," says Ellen Howard the Weigand Gallery Coordinator.
The painting is quite large, at 60x48in. and has a yellow orange background with a blue triable in the bottom center, with some other colors mixed in as well. Weigand Gallery staff had noticed that the work of art was missing in fall 2009.
"From the information we have, it seems that the painting was hung on the second floor in the Ralston Mansion." Says Karen Boquist-Gelineau, the event coordinator in Ralston.
"There are tow sides to where the painting could have possibly been," says Simone Baer of Weigand Gallery.
"Some people say that they remember it by the copy machine and some say that it was in Hernan's office before he was here. We checked the office, including the closet, and it was nowhere to be found."
"This is the first time that something like this has happened," says Robert Poplack, the current director at Weigand. "Some students' paintings have gone missing before, but whoever took them decided to bring them back. We would like to get the painting back in the hands of the person that wants it."
There will be a reward for anyone who knows of painting's whereabouts. If anyone has any questions or knows something that will help find the painting, please contact the Weigand Gallery staff at (650) 508-3595.

I hope they will find those who did that, and return the painting
